Back on the Grid

6 Jun

This weekend was filled with a little of this, a little of that, and a lot of eating (Sunday lunch at Lateral was my favorite meal)!

On Sunday we went on a shopping trip to Las Rozas Village (and I exercised an astounding amount of self-control and thankfully managed to head home without a new pair of Pretty Ballerinas)

Me, enjoying the afternoon sun and a Starbucks Strawberry Frappuchino.

On Saturday we walked to the new mercado de San Antón in Chueca and admired tasty-looking tapas.  The chic market so reminds me of something that you might find back home in Minneapolis.

And Hamburguesa Nostra--a stand that offers differently seasoned hamburger meat (I love, love, love their burgers)!

Last week the three beans and I spent time playing outside in the urba after school (we have been tending to stay close to home since the weather has been so threatening lately).

Inés, "reading" me Dumbo.

And turning the page.

The girls absolutely adore their pretty pink headbands–do you not love the orange hair ribbon-pink headband combination Inés is rocking in the two photos from Thursday afternoon?

And Almu, wearing hers.

On Friday afternoon Santi (niño) graduated from Primaria and I cheered for the little bean as he accepted his diploma.

Update:  I am at home, curled up on the couch listening to this new Coldplay single and the thunder storm blustering outside the house…it is a a very good night to be curled up on the couch.
